God is growing us into a church that SERVES: God’s goodness to us moves us to care for others.

…whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant… Matthew 20:26

Jesus described himself as someone who “came not to be served but to serve and give his life…” As people whose lives are is coming to be shaped more and more like the life of Jesus, we are to serve and to give our own lives for the benefit of others. The presence of Cherokee Presbyterian Church in Lexington County means that the lives of our neighbors will be better with us in the community than they would otherwise be. Jesus summed up half of the life of faith like this: loving our neighbors as much as we love ourselves. God calls us to love the whole world, so we also seek the chance to care for people to the ends of the earth; our neighbors are the people God gives us the opportunity to serve.
