Blaine Hill, Pastor
Blaine Hill, pastor, grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. He attended undergraduate school at Hampton-Sydney College in Virginia earning a BA in May of 1994. He worked as a counselor/teacher and a salesman from 1994 - 1997. For seminary he relocated to Atlanta to attend Columbia Theological Seminary. He earned a Master of Divinity in May of 2001. In 1996 he married Laura also of Virginia and they have 4 young children: Jack, Joseph, Isaac, and Eloise. Blaine and Laura served for a year as mission volunteers in Kerala, India in 1999-2000. They have resided in Lexington since 2005 when he took over as pastor of Cherokee Presbyterian Church. His interests include music, outdoor activities, reading, cooking and time with his children. Laura Barnes
Secretary - grew up in Chapin, SC. She attended Montreat College in Montreat, NC for two years then transferred to USC in Columbia where she received her BA in Elementary Education. She taught for 5 years in public schools during which time she met her husband, Craig, who is from Portsmouth, Va. They lived in Maine for 3 years while Craig was in the US Coast Guard. They now reside in West Columbia. They have 3 children: Zachary,13, and twins: Bree, and Banks, 11. She homeschooled Zachary for 6 years/ Bree and Banks for 3 years.
