God is growing us into a church that builds CHRISTIAN FRIENDSHIP: Jesus not only draws us into a loving relationship with God. Christ brings us to love and be loved by other people.

We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. I Thessalonians 2:8

The Good News of Jesus shapes how we relate to other people. At Cherokee Presbyterian Church we are united by our baptism and by our unity to Jesus rather than by mere preference or convenience. We are coming to share with one another not just the joy of God’s love and the delights of friendship but also to carry together the burdens common in life and even the doubts and struggles of faith. As a fellowship created by God, we look forward to seeing the people God will draw in among us. The church is a friendship community that Jesus is creating.
